Having beers with fourth grade classmates! Vince, Jose and I were classmates in fourth grade in St. Sebastian School. They both moved after fourth grade unfortunately so we never got in touch until I found Vince's wife, Reina, on Facebook. St. Sebastian School (before it became a parking structure for Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital where my mom used to work) was on the corner of Halsted and Wellington. Per Google Maps, it is 0.6 miles away from Graystone Tavern. Flashback Summer of 1985 Daly City, CA. I drove Frances & Liza (and their Tita Myrna) to Daly City after they had stayed at my parents' house. That's where Liza and I met. Frances and I had been classmates in sixth grade in St. Sebastian School in Chicago. Frances was 18; Liza was 19. Frances Pacis, their niece, Liza Franco.

Nike had conditions before giving Michael Jordan a record contract: Either be rookie of the year, or average 20 points per game, or be an all-star, or sell $4 mill worth of shoes in a year. Jordan was rookie of the year ✅ Scored 28.2 points per game ✅ Named an all-star ✅ Nike sold $100 mill of shoes in 84-85 ✅ I bought two pairs of Air Jordan 1s that first year, 1984-85, which was my senior year in high school. I couldn't make up my mind which to pick - the white ones or the black ones. After about thirty minutes of me going back and forth, my mom said, "Just get both." I love you Mom!
